Meet our newest Powerhouse Racing running coach, Chris Bittinger. Welcome Coach!
Where are you from? I grew up in Houston but have been living in Colorado the past few years but I moved back last year because I like the warmer winters here and really missed living by the water.
How did you come to find Powerhouse Racing? I have known Johnny and Melanie for several years and have friends training with Powerhouse.
What is your personal & professional experience with tri/running? I have been coaching many athletes from High School through the Professional level with athletes competing in state cross country and track and field championships including all the athletes in a competitive running club that I started in Colorado Springs called the High Altitude Running Team that competed in multiple distances. I was a competitive athlete for many years competing the Masters World Championships representing the U.S., Indoor U.S.A.T.F. Championships, Outdoor U.S.A.T.F Championships, MT. SAC Relays and many others.
Certifications – Certified with Colorado Coaches Association, U.S.A.T.F. Certified Official and Coach. I have also directed several Track Meets and Race events over the years.
What do you hope to bring to your athletes? I feel I can bring some different training principles and ideas to Powerhouse and help athletes of all abilities to achieve their goals whether it’s to maintain fitness, run faster, or just have fun with a training group.
